OUR HISTORY

Our story begins in May 1970: our journey into the world of customs clearance immediately followed its course.

After a few years, we decided to expand our services and we began to organize small shipments between Italy and Switzerland.
Since 2010, we have been adapting to economic and social changes and completing our offer for our customers: OOG transports, groupage - and standard transports go hand in hand with the customs service, on which Astra was founded.

Complete road and intermodal FTL

Ideal for large quantities of goods, it allows the use of an entire vehicle to transport your goods from point A to point B (so-called pick-up/delivery points).

Whether national or international routes, depending on the type of goods and delivery time, we will find out the best type of vehicle to use to meet your needs (standard truck, megatrailer, refrigerated truck, truck-trailer).

For years, we have also been handling deliveries to airport warehouses with 24-hour delivery times.

LTL road and intermodal groupage

We provide this service to allow you to send small parcels, saving on the cost of transport:

EXPRESS SHIPPING

Express transport is the type of service used for goods that require the shortest transit time from point A to point B.

Customs clearance

to date Astra has more than 12,000 customs bills per year.

Customs account, import, export, temporary customs clearance... our years of experience in customs matters and our staff deployed on every border allow us to manage what for many, still too often, risks becoming a great unknown within the perfectly oiled mechanism that must arrange a transport.

Bonded warehouse

a bonded warehouse on Swiss territory where the warehouse keeper (importer, consignor, transferee, transporter, etc.) can store foreign goods belonging to him or to third parties.

From the border, the goods arrive at the place of storage (authorized place) in transit without being imported, until the warehouse keeper himself decides to import directly at the place of storage (or opens a transit/export procedure to other countries).

Third-party warehousing service:

Astra SA has its own warehouse and can support its customers for this type of requirement as well. Whatever the type of goods pallets, bulk goods, bundles, Astra is the ideal partner for your logistics.

INTRASTAT

The Intrastat form is a declaration that reports intra-community sales and purchase transactions, carried out by a VAT-registered person over a given period.

This form or list was introduced by Article 50 of Decree-Law 331/1993, following the abolition of barriers in the European Union.

Invoices to be reported in this form are intra-Community invoices that were issued or received by VAT holders (i.e., only B2B transactions) for which payments were made, goods were shipped from one country to another, or services were rendered to a resident of the foreign country.

All those who carry out intra-Community buying and selling transactions must be registered with VIES.
